HOW SAFE IS A LIMOUSINE?

QVM Limousines are the safest, strongest made, They are the result of a unique industry partnership between the only two builders of Limousine chassis - Lincoln and Cadillac - and the handful of master coachbuilders they certify, including Royale. Every inch of the VIP Limousine says "built to the highest standards." The passion for workmanship goes beyond what the eye can see. Royale quality starts at the bottom of the car, the same attention is given to every mechanical detail including the insulation of the vehicle to deaden any road noise or vibration.

The body of the Mercedes V Class is the result of extensive crash tests which far exceed legislative demands. The passenger safety shell contains a mixture of high strength beams and joints which are protected by crumple zones. These are designed to collapse progressively in a collision, thus absorbing and dissipating the energy of the crash, leaving the central passenger compartment intact.

The Chauffeur:
One of the duties of the Chauffeur is to open the door for their clients and position himself between the client and the Paparazzi. In doing so, the client will know that it is safe to vacate the Limousine.

Seat Belts
The Royal Magnum Limousine is fitted with eight individual safety belts enabling each passenger to travel safely while retaining the comfort of Limousine transportation.

The Law requires that all passengers should wear seat belts.

Champagne
When releasing the cork from the Champagne bottle we recommended that you hold the Champagne bottle and turn the cork slowly. The Chauffeur will be pleased to do this for you.

Champagne Glasses
It is recommended that the Champagne glasses are not overfilled. We suggest the glasses should be just over half full. Please remember that every road is not as smooth as we would hope. We would not wish your evening to be spoiled by a stain on your Ball Gown or Dinner Suit.

Smoking
For the safety & comfort of our passengers, VIP Limousine Hire operates a No Smoking policy.

Emergency Equipment
In the event of an emergency The Royal Magnum Limousine carries a Fire Extinguisher plus a First Aid Kit. The Chauffeur also has a mobile telephone.

Passenger Volume
The Royal Magnum Limousine will not carry more then eight passengers. It is illegal to do so.

A vehicle which carries in excess of eight passengers will have a classification of a PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) and must have a certificate of initial fitness or a certificate of conformity. The company must also hold a PCV Operators Licence. Several legal requirements would have to be met before a Certificate could be granted.

One such requirement is that the vehicle must have an "emergency door" at the rear or off side of the vehicle and that such a door may not be used as a "service door" or "driver's door".

"Emergency door" means a door fitted to the vehicle for use in an emergency only, which when fully opened gives an aperture of 1210mm high and not less then 530mm wide.

"Driver's door" means a door fitted to the vehicle for use by the driver.

"Service door" means a door fitted to the vehicle for use by the passengers.

The Royal Magnum Limousine has two doors on the near side and two doors on the off side making a total of four doors.
